Testified as expert witness in forensic document examination in federal, state, military courts, and by deposition on more than 150 occasions

 

Training

 

Graduate of the two-year resident training program in Forensic Document Examination conducted by the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory (USACIL), Fort Gillem, Georgia. This course of instruction is designed to prepare graduates to serve as experts in:

  • the comparison of handwriting and hand printing

  • the detection of forged signatures and handwriting

  • the examination of typewriting, computer printed documents, and machine-produced copies

  • the decipherment of altered, obliterated and charred documents

  • the examinations of inks and paper

  • decipherment of erased entries and indented writings

  • the detection of counterfeit documents

  • the examination of commercially printed matter

  • the use of related instrumentation

  • other miscellaneous document examinations

  • court testimony regarding forensic document examinations

Attendance at numerous courses, workshops, and seminars in Forensic Document Examination including:

  • U. S. Secret Service Questioned Document Course

  • FBI Fundamentals of Document Examination for Laboratory Personnel School

  • FBI Advanced Techniques of Document Examination for Laboratory Personnel - Typewriters and Other Printing Devices
